Altieri Italian Imports

The Collection

Selected Without Compromise

Nine categories. Thirty-eight family producers. One standard: Italy at its finest.

How We Select

Every product in the Altieri collection was chosen not by category or price point, but by the story behind it — the land it came from, the hands that made it, and the tradition it represents. True luxury is created by origin, by rarity, by craftsmanship, and by the discipline to select only what is truly exceptional.

Italian Saffron
Abruzzo & Sardinia

Italian Saffron

Among the most precious spices in the world, Italian saffron is harvested by hand — one thread at a time — from the crocus flower at dawn, in the brief weeks of autumn when it blooms. The saffron of Abruzzo, grown in the high plateau of Navelli, carries a DOP designation and is considered by many to be the finest in existence: intensely aromatic, deeply coloured, and with a complexity that no other origin can replicate. A single gram requires the harvest of hundreds of flowers. That rarity is not incidental — it is the point.

Hand-harvested at dawn. DOP certified. Abruzzo & Sardinia origins.
